Anthony Campagna

Anthony Campagna

Tony Campagna learned a lot from his father; and he learned it well.  Under the tutelage of his dad, Tony learned poker at the age of 12 -- he also learned what would be the one great constant in his life, FITNESS .

He won the 1997 Mr. East Coast and 1998 Mr. Atlantic States bodybuilding titles and finished 2nd in the Mr. America over-40 in 1999 and 2000. At that point he suffered a devastating injury which temporarily sidelined him from competition.  It was at this point that Tony focused on two other passions -- building the best private gym possible and tournament poker.

As with anything Tony has done, he set his goals extraordinarily high. He rapidly built what is now widely considered one of the best private training gym's in the country. Since 2006, when Tony began playing tournament poker, he has steadily risen towards the top. In 2008, Tony had a breakout year with 2 WPT cashes and 1 WSOP cash. He has also had fantastic results on the Atlantic City circuit, especially in Borgata's weekly tournaments where he earned the respect of his peers. Never able to fly under the radar for long, Tony was asked and happily participated in the Best Damn Poker Show II on Phil Hellmuth's team, where he was quickly annointed by Phil and Annie Duke as a fantastic player capable of a huge breakout win in any given tournament.

Based on his history and the teachings of his father, we are sure that win is in the not-too-distant future fior Tony Campagna.
