James has been traveling throughout the country playing the tournament circuit since 2005. He has been a consistent force on the tour with many impressive cashes in major events. He has made several final tables throughout his poker career , including winning a Caesars WSOP Circuit Event title in 06'. James is a highly respected player both on and off the tables . He has established many great relationships with other top players and leaders within the poker industry. Look for the sharpest dressed player at the table, and there you will find James "suits" Salters. His knowledge and experience of the game combined with his extensive tournament schedule will surely lead to many more successful years to come.

James resides in W.Hempstead, NY with his wife and 3 children. He has many personal accomplishments in addition to his poker career. He attended the University of Penn , where he was the 80' basketball MVP. The previous year he lead his team to the NCAA Final Four against Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Mark Aguire. He was recently inducted into the Big 5 Basketball Hall of Fame for his achievements. James graduated from the Wharton School of Business and went on to become President of Catalyst Development Corp: building communities in NY, NC, SC & GA. He is now the managing partner of Salters and Salters a financial and consulting real estate firm.
