Neal Gersony

Neal Gersony has been a consistent force on the tournament poker circuit since 2006. He has amassed over 20 cashes and over $225,000 in career poker earnings. In 06' at the Harrahs WSOP $1000 Circuit Event he outlasted over 300 players to take 2nd place for $56,000. In addition to his poker accomplishments at the table, Neal is also the author of an exciting and well received novel called Poker Slam. He is also a well respected cash game player and often plays in the most competitive games in A.C and Foxwoods.

Dr. Gersony is also an experienced teacher. He has a Columbia BA, a Columbia MBA and a PhD from RPI and has taught at several university Business Schools. In the 1990s, he developed online, accredited business courses that are still in use. After a 15 year career as an academic, Neal started his own course delivery business, CEU.com. The company specializes in continuing education courses and has grown steadily and continues to thrive to this day. After professional management was brought in, Neal turned his attention to his novel, Poker Slam. The book took several years to write and another year and a half to edit. Over the same period, he began to systematically develop a series of courses which are essentially a “brain dump” of all the poker knowledge he has accrued aver the years. This process kept Neal from keeping a full schedule of tournament appearances, but he continued to play as much as possible. It is his passion after all.
